The Principal Secretary State Department for Crops Development Kello Harsama on September 16th, flagged off the first consignment of avocado exports to India.
This is a result of Bilateral negotiations between Kenya and India, that have culminated in the opening of the Indian market for Avocado exports from Kenya. Present in the forum were the High Commissioner for India in Kenya H. E. Ms. Namgya C. Khampa, the Kenyan High Commissioner in India Ambassador Willy Bett, AFA Chairman Hon. Cornelly Serem, Board Member Dr. Rosebellah Langat, AFA Ag. DG Willis Audi, HCD Ag. Director Christine C. Rotich among other dignitaries.
This step highlights the Government’s commitment to promoting the growth and sustainability of the agricultural industry while fostering stronger ties with international partners.
