Technical Advisory Services
The primary role of the Technical and Advisory Services(TAS) Department is to collaborate with other relevant agencies to develop and disseminate agricultural technologies innovations and management practices for the nuts and oil crops subsector.
Functions of Technical Advisory Services
- Develop, review and disseminate technical materials on agricultural production technologies.
- Build the capacity of County Governments and other value chain players on good agricultural practices through training and demonstrations.
- Collect & collate data and maintain a database on production of nuts and oil crops;
- Determine and advise various research institutions on research priorities in nuts and oil crops production.
- Support value chain players to access high quality farm inputs.
- Document production best practices from other countries and international organizations to inform the development of nuts and oil crops.
