Today the CS Roads and Transport Hon. Onesmus Kipchumba Murkomen accompanied by the CS Agriculture and Livestock Development Hon. Mithika Linturi presided over the Horticulture Industry Stakeholders meeting in Eldoret to address the logistical challenges faced by the stakeholders in the export of horticultural produce.

Present in the forum were Governors H.E Kenneth Lusaka of Bungoma County, H.E. Stephen Sang of Nandi County, Deputy Governors H.E. Felix Maiyo of Baringo County, H.E Ayub Savula of Kakamega County and H.E Engineer John Barorot of Uasin Ngishu County.

Present also was the AFA Chairman Hon. Cornelly Serem The forum brought together key stakeholders; National and county leadership, Government agencies, farmers, exporters, and the aviation industry.

The utilization of Eldoret International Airport for Horticulture export will unlock the potential of Horticulture farming in the region, and improve the livelihoods of the farming community.
